South Korean President to Visit Cambodia

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak will make a two-day official visit to the Cambodia October 22-23, according a Tuesday press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFAIC).

“President Myung-bak will have a warm talk with King Norodom Sihamoni, Senate President, Chea Sim, National Assembly President, Heng Samrin, and bilateral talks with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen,” the press release added.

During the formal visit, two documents will be jointly signed by Hor Namhong, Deputy Prime Minister and MFAIC Minister, and You Myung-wan, the Korean Foreign Minister, including an extradition agreement, and a financial grant loan framework agreement.


A total of five documents will likely be jointly signed: a trade cooperation agreement, an awareness program creation cooperation agreement, a natural resources cooperation MoU, a National Resources finding cooperation agreement, and a climate change and trees growing cooperation agreement.
